2008 NTU International Student Ambassador Program

I. Objective
NTU Office of International Affairs holds the International Student Ambassador Program in order to provide educational opportunities to NTU international students who have strong motivation to gain global experience through close contact with international visitors and scholars of NTU.

II. Duties
1. Provide guiding services and campus tours to international visitors.
2. Provide arrival and orientation services to international visiting scholars.

III. Eligibility
1. Second-year undergraduate students or first-year graduate students (Master or PhD) or
     above in academic year starting September, 2008.
2. At least one year commitment. (i.e.: Starting from academic year 2008, applicants must
     have at least one year of spare enrollment.)

IV. Application Procedures
1. Required Application Materials:
     a. Resume or C.V.(maximum of 3 A-4 pages with photo attached)
     b. NTU Transcript of 2007 Fall semester (undergraduate only)
     c. Statement of Purpose: why you would like to be an International Student Ambassador
          (maximum of 1 A4-page)
2. Please submit the required application materials to the OIA Office
     during May 26th to 28th, 2008.

V. Selection Process
1. The application materials will be reviewed by the OIA, only shortlisted candidate will be notify.
2. The interview will be scheduled during the first week of June.
3. The qualified list will be announced at the OIA website around mid June without personal notices.

VI. Incentives
1. Training sessions held by the Office of International Affairs.
2. Qualified students who fulfill their duties for 50 hours (or on-duty for over 20 times) will be
     awarded for the International Student Ambassador Certificate.
3. More information about the salary, benefits and trainings will be announced later.
