Policy of Health Exams for Incoming Exchange Students to NTU

From April 1st, 2008, incoming exchange students could fulfill the requirement of NTU Health Exams (Form I) according to the following methods:

1. they may get the exams done in their home country and mail the Health Exam Form to our office with other required documents by the application deadline.

2. If students couldn't receive their exam reports before they send out the application documents, they may

a. fax the copy of the Exam Form and then mail the original one to our office before their arrivals to NTU.

b. fax the copy of the Exam Form and the signed Health Exam Declaration to our office first, and then bring the original one to Taiwan, hand in the form to us in person on the Registration Day.

3. If students couldn't complete the health exams in their home country, they should first send us the signed Health Exam Declaration, and then do the exams at the National Taiwan University Hospital once they arrive at Taiwan. Please see the attached file for the Instructions of Health Exams at NTU Hospital.

Please note that exchange students' failure to provide the NTU Health Exam Form to Office of International Affairs by the Registration Day will result in a failure to complete the registration procedure. They will not receive their NTU student ID cards until all the required documents are provided.

Pre-departure guide - Group Airport Pick-up

The group airport pick-up service is provided upon request to all exchange students free of charge; however, it is restricted to several time slots. Students who request this service must complete the Airport Pick-up Form online. You are advised to indicate the time of your arrival that falls on the service slots. The request must be made at least 2 weeks (10 working days) prior to your arrival. Once the pick-up appointment has been arranged, you can log in our online system to know the name of the NTU student volunteers who will meet you at the airport and accompany you to NTU.
* Please note that the Office of International Affairs (OIA) will not arrange pick-up services if your Airport Pick-up Form did not reach us two weeks prior to your arrival. It is also not possible to provide individual pick-up service if your estimated time of arrival does not coincide with the OIA scheduled pick-up times. However, OIA may adjust or offer more available pick-up times if necessary.
* Detailed information about the group airport pick-up service can be found in the "Handbook for 2009/2010 Incoming Exchange Students."
